The composition is created around the ginger lily, also known as a butterfly lily, a Himalayan large-petalled white flower. Growing in a harsh high mountains climate, this plant blooms for only a few weeks in the springtime, and each flower lives only for a few hours, which makes it difficult, almost impossible, to extract the oil.

Cabotine is a feminine perfume by Gres. The scent was launched in 1990 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Jean-Claude Delville. The bottle was designed by Thierry Lecoule
